23RD OF AUGUST 2015 PLAYLIST

i have been a bit naughty recently and haven't taken any photographs, so here's a couple of photos from the wedding i went to the other week. the top one is me taking a selfie with an old painting and the other is of my boyfriend tom all suited up.

I often get asked the question "Whats your favourite type of music?", which if you are a music lover is really a very difficult question to answer. I have always been under the opinion that i have a love of an extremely wide variety of genres of music and only have a few types that are not to my taste.

I do think though that there are one or two genres/artists that are embedded to our core. It is usually the music that influenced us in our youth. The music and sounds that sparked our interest in music and led us onto a path of discovery. Of course through out our life our music taste changes or we go through periods of liking certain genres and disliking others, only to feel the opposite about them in a few years time. After a bit of life experience (which is rich coming from myself as i am only 22 years old) and listening to anything and everything, i do think there is that certain genre that we will never fall out of love with. Our go to music. The music that you put on when you finally arrive home, take off your shoes and coat, put your keys on the side, go over to whatever system you have to output your music and just be.

My "core music" is music i grew up with. Music my parents listened to. Music i only really truly appreciated when i reached the age of 14. Music that influenced my personality and style. Music that i can relate to when i am feeling sad, happy, romantic, angry.

If you want to really get to know a person, find out their core music and give it a listen.

I would love to know what your core music is. Tweet me or leave a comment!

Enjoy.

ASOS WISHLIST

For some reason i have to say that i don't really shop at ASOS that often. I prefer not to shop online, with the risks of not being able to try clothing on and things not looking right/sizing not being right. I am also too much of a lazy person to constantly be posting clothing back. I am well aware of the fact that i am limiting my shopping experience as there is so much variety on ASOS and other clothing brands who are exclusively online. I only really shop online when my local town has failed me at offering anything inspirational or if i am after a particular item from a store such as & Other Stories.

You may be looking at my ASOS Wishlist and think, why am i bothering still looking at Summer clothing when we are right in the process of transitioning into Autumn/Winter 2015. In 3 weeks time i am off on a road trip through France! I am spending two days in Paris, 3 days in Dordogne and then 7 days in Perpignan. I went to the South of France last September, so it will be nice to visit some different areas. Plus i have never been to Paris before so i am SO EXCITED!

When on holiday i tend to go with what is easy and comfortable, so i end up wearing a lot of dresses. The only time i feel i am going to need long sleeves/cardigans/jumpers is when we are travelling to Dover and through the north of France. After that i shall be exposing as much skin as possible to allow the sunbeams to tan my pale body.

If you have ever been to Paris, Dordogne or Perpignan and have any suggestions of places to go i would love for you to Tweet, comment or email me!

14.08.15 PLAYLIST

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE

First of all i would just like to explain to you why i have been away from my blog for a couple of weeks. Without going into too much detail, I had a person in my family pass away which, as understandably was very upsetting for myself and my family. So i would just like to make clear to you that i have not forgotten about my blog, i have just been focusing on my family and dealing with grief.

This evenings playlist for you is a mixture of some new releases that i have been enjoying. I have been really impressed with the album Golden Ticket by Golden Rules. Personally i feel this playlist is nice for a chilled evening spent in.

As with every playlist, i would like to encourage you to comment, tweet or email me with any suggestions you may have. I am always willing to add to my playlist with music you guys introduce to me.

A WEDDING

dress: whistles
bag: pied a terre
shoes: new look
sunglasses: urban outfitters

I love a good wedding. Always have, always will.

I am not sure what it is exactly about weddings that i love so much. The ceremony itself, where two people declare their undying love for each other and vow to stay by one an-others side for the rest of their lives. Seeing everyone come together in support of the couple. Or simply getting pissed in the evening. A combination of all three i think.

Yesterday i saw a beautiful couple go into the next stage of their lives together. I have to say, i actually got a lump in my throat a couple of times! I must be getting older now and actually turning into a grown up.

A few weeks ago i saw this dress from Whistles. It was love at first sight and despite it being fairly pricey, i purchased it without hesitation. I don't really do lace, but the fact that the dress is in the shade of one of my favourite colours was a big pro in the "should i buy this dress" pro & con list.  When brought it, i chose to buy a size up to what i actually am. Personally, i prefer my clothing to have a slightly baggy look and i have issues with dresses that cling to my stomach. Plus it is always good to have some wiggle room when knowing you have a eat a large meal.

With my shoes, i wanted to go down the less obvious path. With a dress this colour, the typical choice of shoe colour would be nude or white. I felt black made a bit more of a stylish statement.
I had a dilemma however when it came to the height of the heel. Despite the fact i do own a fair few pairs of high heels, i do not in fact wear them that often. I get achy feet a lot and am a very vocal moaner, so i thought it would be best to go for a smaller heel knowing that i would be wearing them for the entire day.

If you have read my post BLUE ON BLUE you will know all about the handbag and purse that i picked to finish off my outfit.

If you have a wedding this summer, i wish you all the love, happiness and magic the world has to offer!
