This week was very much all about getting back to reality.

Kicking off with leaving the beautiful and exciting city of Barcelona, on Monday we landed back on English ground. After an evening spent unpacking, the alarm clock was set ready for work in the morning and myself and Tom tucked ourselves in for an early night.
I spent the following fews days working and trying to get myself back into my old routine, which i partly failed at. Usually i ride my bike to work, go gym after work then ride my bike back home. This week however that damn snooze button kept on being hit and my bike didn't see the light of day, nor did my gym wear. Oh well, next week i will try again!

After work on Thursday i spontaneously decided to get a tattoo. It would appear the bug has been caught after getting my first one and i wanted another one that was a little bit more visible. A line drawing of a heart seemed nice and everybody could do with a little reminder that all you need is love, right?

Friday i had the day off, so i spent it going for lunch with my mum in a cute cafe in Leicester and having a catch up about my recent trip. Later that day i went for drinks in the evening with my boyfriend Tom. I had a rum and coke and a amaretto sour and called it a night.

Song of this week has to be Risk to Exist which is my favourite track off of the new Maximo Park album. I am beyond excited to be going to see them play in Birmingham on the 5th of May.

I think i may have found my perfect pink jumper.

Don't get me wrong, it's not like i haven't already got pink jumpers, in fact i have many of them. I have the classic baby pink cashmere, a thick embellished one, a silk one and even a glittery one.
However the other day i spotted this one on the &OtherStories website and fell in love. Wearing it is pure pleasure. Not only does it feel so soft but i love the way it looks. From the neckline to the cropped style and the oversized sleeves. Styling it i have found that it looks best with blue denim. I am sure that in future post this little fella will make many appearances.

Last week i had the absolute pleasure of spending a long weekend in the beautiful city of Barcelona.

I have been to Barcelona once before when a couple of years ago i was on holiday in the south of France and we decided to go for the day. However it was so nice this time to spend a bit longer getting to know the city better and explore all that is has to offer.

Myself, my boyfriend and his family arrived early afternoon and spent the rest of the day walking around the city, drinking in nice outdoor areas and eating amazing tapas. The rest of the weekend was spent fairly similar, site seeing, drinking and eating great food.

The week building up to the trip i had been checking the weather forecast everyday. I wasn't completely sure how warm it was going to be so needed to pack items that would cover me for any type of weather. In the end i decided to pack mostly dresses, a pair of blue jeans, jumper, cardigan and a couple of tops. Not to forgetting my trusty leather jacket as well.

It turned out that the weather was beautiful for most of the weekend. I spent the days and nights in my dresses, paired with my leather jacket for the occasional breeze and temperature dip.

As a city break i would highly recommend going to Barcelona. There is just so much to see, do, drink and eat!

03.04.17 PLAYLIST

After wolfing down a home made Nutella cupcake and half a G&T, i now feel ready to get back into the swing of writing a blog post. I also feel sick but never the less i will crack on!

The past couple of weeks i have been listening to some great new music. What has really stood out to me is Fleet Foxes new track Third of May/ Odaighara and the album FROM DEEWEE by Soulwax has to be the best album I've heard so far in 2017.  I tried to look for tickets to see Soulwax in concert but unfortunately the London ones have sold out.

I have also added a couple of old tracks that i have been loving this week as well.
